Rev. Lori Shinkō Snyder
Rev. Snyder is a Zen Buddhist Priest located in the Chicago area studying with Rev. Susan Myoyu Anderson Roshi, of the Great Plains Zen Center in Monroe, Wisconsin within the White Plum lineage.
She is currently working on an MDiv in Chaplaincy at Loyola University while working full-time in scientific research at Northwestern University. She has been a Medical Librarian, Academic Librarian, Metadata Cataloging Librarian, and Reference Librarian. She is a mother and stepmother to three adult children, and wife to a wonderful husband, all of whom dutifully serve their loving cat.
Rev. Snyder practices many forms of compassionate communication that honor what is alive in our spirit, connect with our higher intentions, and speak our ground to maintain boundaries and shared peace. She holds hope in pluralism and shared space to heal our divisions within the common religion of Love.
